Sustainability Work

A clean and healthy future is our shared responsibility!
Exakta has long maintained a high environmental and quality profile with several associated certificates. We also have a living CSR document with clear guidelines for Exakta's responsibility. In 2020, we appointed a group to map our operations in relation to Sustainability and Agenda 2030. We chose to analyze based on the seven core areas included in ISO 26000; Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues, Community Involvement. It is also based on this standard that we present our work. The foundation for strategic sustainability work is laid by identifying what we have, how we measure and follow up, and which focus areas we prioritize. As we document and implement the work, we present the information here so that you can follow our sustainability work. We have chosen this transparency and want to encourage a vibrant sustainability effort with input from our employees and stakeholders. If you have ideas and thoughts about sustainability, you are welcome to send an email to us. A sustainable collaboration, simply! Download Exakta's sustainability report  here..

 Quality and Environment
As of January 2017, there is an Environment and Quality Manager in the parent company to better be able to implement a common policy throughout the group. The goal is for all companies within the Exakta group to have a third-party certified quality and environmental management system.
Quality and environment are inseparable, and by maintaining high production quality, we reduce complaints. This is good for the environment as we do not need to reprint and incur additional transportation. Within Exakta Print, our largest producing company, we work in partnership towards common environmental goals, thereby increasing both parties' chances of achieving them together.
Exakta is certified according to ISO14001, holds the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for cleaner production, and can FSC®-label printed materials to ensure sustainable forest management. Our company is registered with the FTI registry and takes full producer responsibility. It is also possible to compensate for the CO2 emissions caused by your printed material. The electricity we consume comes from E.ON and is origin-labeled with issuance by the Swedish National Grid.
CSR, or social responsibility, is an important and natural part of Exakta's view of people and employees. It is in our interest to promote diversity and capitalize on our employees' different experiences, qualities, and collective knowledge. Within the group, there are approximately 260 employees, and we welcome diversity in all areas, whether it be ethnic, age-related, or individuals with disabilities. It is our opinion and experience that diversity is good business. Clear and specific guidelines for Exakta's responsibility are described in our CSR document, Gender Equality and Work Environment Policy, Policy against Harassment and Discriminatory Treatment.
